Active as a director, artistic researcher, and educator within performing arts.

Cecilia has a background in physical theatre and has directed performances and acts on theatres and other venues since 1993. She earned her PhD in Theatre Studies at Stockholm University in 2003 and has led artistic development and research projects within both academia and the performing arts world. Cecilia is also a professor of scenic performance at the Academy of Music and Drama at the University of Gothenburg.

Since 2012, Cecilia has primarily carried out her artistic work within the performing arts collective Alkemisterna. From 2013 to 2016, she collaborated with dancer and actor Helena Kågemark on the project GångART – exploring walking as an artistic practice. Since 2017, Alkemisterna has worked on several performing arts productions focusing on polarization and fear in society. See also: www.alkemisterna.se
