Auzelle Epeneter

Auzelle Epeneter is an American writer who is developing her first collection of poems.

The book explores ideas related to belonging; darkness, family, and the natural world; distance and endurance; landscapes and edges; methods of joy; and spiritual connections across time. The project was initially inspired by Auzelle’s ancestors who emigrated to Colorado from Halland and Western Norway. Its working title is Alpenglow.

BIO
Auzelle Epeneter’s writing has been published in literary journals including ZYZZYVA, Passages North, and Action, Spectacle, and recently served as the exhibition text for Oats and Weeds, an international group show at BABEL in Trondheim, Norway.

 

Her work has been supported through residencies at Atelier Austmarka (Austmarka, Norway), Dorland Arts Colony (Temecula, California), Lademoen Kunstnerverksteder (Trondheim, Norway), the Transverse Range (Tujunga, California), the Trillium Project (Oregon State University), USF Verftet (Bergen, Norway), and the Wellstone Center in the Redwoods (Soquel, California).

Currently based in Los Angeles, Auzelle has lived across the United States in California, Colorado, Georgia, New York, and Washington. Auzelle also writes a Substack about creative research and poetic process at thrillerhouse.substack.com.
