Konstepidemin’s artist-in-residence program started in 1990. There are five studio apartments which are rented out to approximately thirty international artists, writers, musicians, curators, performers and lecturers annually.
We strive to engage our guest artists in public events and to initiate discussions regarding esthetic as well as political issues. The productive artistic environment, and the opportunity to develop one’s artistic practice and projects, are important reasons why artists seek us out, and often return.
Konstepidemin is operating several international projects where we collaborate with many cultural organizations and artists from different parts of the world.
Konstepidemin is a member of Res Artis and Trans Europe Halles. We collaborate with Iaspis, the Swedish Arts Grants Committee’s International Programme for Visual and Applied Artists.
