Kalle Stenbäcken, a full-time musician born and raised in Gothenburg, is trained as a classical pianist at the School of Music and Drama in Gothenburg, Ingesund School of Music, Örebro School of Music, Vadstena Folk High School, as well as through private studies in Sweden and abroad.
Kalle regularly performs both in Sweden and abroad and has contributed to several recordings, including a complete recording of J.S. Bach’s Goldberg Variations, the romance album Nordic Songs with bass-baritone Tobias Fjälling, and two solo albums featuring newly composed piano music by Joel Lundberg, “Music From a Room” (2020) and “Odysseys and Apostrophes” (2023).
As a soloist with orchestra, Kalle has performed, among others, all of Beethoven’s piano concertos, Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, and Mozart’s 23rd piano concerto.
He is also a versatile musician who comfortably navigates various musical genres such as classical, soul, pop, and early music. He is a standing pianist with artist Albin Lee Meldau, where he also partially serves as a musical arranger, drummer, and songwriter. Since autumn 2023, he has also worked as a substitute pianist/conductor with the internationally renowned group Arrival From Sweden: The Music of Abba.
Kalle is also a dedicated educator and has taught at Bollnäs Folk High School from 2014 to 2022 and at the Vadstena Song and Piano Academy from 2021 to 2023.
