Kalle Stenbäcken is a pianist and musician based in Gothenburg. His artistic practice takes shape in the meeting between tradition and the present. The piano and keyboard instruments form the central point of departure in his work.

With a background in classical piano performance, grounded in higher music education in Sweden and complemented by private studies abroad, he has developed a practice that moves between solo piano performance, chamber music, historical keyboard instruments and collaborations within soul and pop.

He has appeared as a soloist with orchestra and contributed to several recordings within both classical and contemporary repertoire. As a pianist and musical creator, he is a recurring collaborator in the musical context of Albin Lee Meldau. He is also the drummer in the band Magnolia and performs as a pianist in the internationally touring production Arrival From Sweden – The Music of ABBA.

Teaching forms a natural part of his artistic work.
