Karin moves freely between commissioned work and exploratory practice in the studio. For over ten years, she has been working with art in public spaces, including elderly care homes, schools and preschools, parks, and municipal and private residential courtyards.

With a background in horticulture, she sometimes incorporates vegetation and landscaping as part of her artistic expression. She has also contributed to numerous performing arts projects, primarily working with props and costume details. Educated at the School of Design and Crafts (HDK), she has been based at Konstepidemin since 2003 – a workplace she considers truly inspiring.
