Lina Ekdahl is a poet and playwriter. She also writes librettos for choral works. She made her book debut in 1994 with Fram på dagen (Later in the Day). Since then, she has published eight poetry collections and a children’s book, Vi smular vi härmar en gök (We Crumble, We Cuckoo). She has received several awards, including the Werner Aspenström Prize, and was awarded the Gerard Bonnier Poetry Prize for her collection Du är inte full du är fylld (You’re Not Drunk, You’re Filled).
