Mari Lagerquist is a visual artist.

In recent years, issues surrounding land, cultivation, and landscape have been central to most of her work, though the foundation of her practice can be found in her immediate surroundings—in her personal experiences, subtle observations, and a fascination with chance encounters.

Lagerquist frequently collaborates with others, a practice developed through projects such as Lådan the Mobile Box, A Shoal of Mackerel, BILAGA, and most recently, the small reference library BIBLIOTHEKET—a library dedicated to artists’ books and other printed material.
