Shian (b. 1991) is a Singaporean illustrator and textile artist. The stories that compromise her personal work often address the dichotomy of her upbringing- at once traditional and contemporary; steeped in folklore and the sheen of the silver screen. Having spent many of her formative years immersed in the world of commercial digital and print illustration, she yearns to further navigate the complex terrain of her identity, both in exploring her Southeast- Asian background and straddling the line between belonging and alienation.

Ng Yin Shian (Shian for short) is an independent illustrator and designer based in Singapore, known for her intricate and vibrant screenprint poster art. She has produced artwork for multiple international musical acts such as Metallica, Weird Al Yankovic, 311, Failure and Dave Matthews. Her work has been recognised by Spectrum Fantastic Art, Creative Quarterly and 3×3.
