Felix Endriss

My artistic practice is rooted in painting and shaped by an ongoing interest in the human figure, perception, and interpersonal relationships. I am particularly interested in the interplay between intimacy and distance, reality and imagination, and traditional modes of representation and contemporary visual language.

I approach painting as an investigative and experimental process in which observation, material exploration, and intuition intersect.

My scientific background continues to shape my approach to art. Traditional painting techniques coexist with experimental processes and contemporary imagery. An openness to different materials, techniques, and ways of working is central to my practice, allowing each body of work to develop through its own visual and conceptual logic.

Across these different approaches, I am interested in how traditions of painting can be reinterpreted from a contemporary perspective.
