Danilo’s early passions were acting and writing, with acting becoming his chosen career path from a young age. Writing, on the other hand, became a surprise but valuable outlet for his thoughts and feelings.

Recently, Danilo has combined visual art and live performances to create immersive experiences. As a theater maker, he’s learned how to bring artists and audiences closer together.

He believes that by taking familiar things and presenting them in new ways, we can explore big questions. Simple objects or situations, when removed from their usual context, can lead to profound insights.

Danilo uses everyday items and situations to capture meaningful experiences. His performances are just one part of an ongoing journey, where he shares, reflects, and continues to grow with fresh perspectives and feedback.

Short bio

Danilo Brakočević is an audio visusual artist and a writer from Belgrade, Serbia. He completed his bachelor and master’s studies in acting at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, after which he spent a year in Norway studying theatre in education and a year to study intercultural communication at the Shanghai Theatre Academy. Apart from acting, he is writing film reviews, engaged in making theatre for children and young audience, writing plays, poetry and prose. His first solo exhibition Second Wind Sundries was displayed in Homesession gallery in Barcelona, 2023.
