Hannah-Christina Nebosis

The artist works on themes that affect both the individual and society as a collective, such as freedom, violence, sexuality, death, boundaries and so on. Her expressive, often figurative paintings are an attempt to escape from inner and outer prisons – the prisons in your own head as well as the expectations and constraints of society. Central to Nebosis work is the figure of the female* body, which represents a carrier for the feelings and themes and expresses them in different forms.

“During my stay at Konstepidemin my focus will mainly be on large-scale painting. I will work on two series on the themes ‘Grenzen’ (G. Borders / Boundaries) and ‘Licht’ (G. Light).”
