Jovana works with mapping emotions using several methods, such as dérive, détournement, fashion design, clothing construction, and systemic constellation. Her artistic work is exploratory and multi-layered. Through it intertwines an article of clothing that tells a story by itself and is an inseparable part of every person. Out of them, she makes maps from garments – woven identity. On the maps, there are different methods of drawing, painting, and methods of making materials (punch needle, tufting gun…). Each map is a separate field that aims to transform – both the mapped place and the observer. She wants to equate a garment with a work of art and change the observer’s angle and place it on another level.

Short bio

Jovana Puzovic is a conceptual artist from Belgrad, Serbija. She has been expressing herself through fine arts since childhood. Finishes high school of design, after that master’s degree in contemporary and scene costumography all in Belgrad. She is professionally engaged in her profession but soon realizes that she is interested in the border between art and clothing. Completes a special Italian method for clothing construction to test its limits.
She soon encounters the psychological method of Bert Hellinger’s, System Constellation/ Family Constellations, which offers a special approach to man, situation, space … After ten years of work in that system, completes training and becomes a system constellator. She applies her knowledge in her art work. By working on herself through other psychological methods one of them regression (different methods), she realizes the transformation of the field. In the meantime, she is enrolling in a master program ,,Digital Art and New Media,,.at Faculty of Media and Communications, Belgrade.
