BIBLIOTHEKET has invited artist Anna Strand for a mini-exhibition where she will showcase a work consisting of a collection of negatives and a few texts.

Anna Strand is an artist based in Gothenburg who primarily works with photography and text. In her works, she explores the boundaries of images, self, and reality. Through playful language and meta-references, she encourages the viewer to question what they see in the image, as well as what occurs beyond it, provoking thoughts about time and space, power, and perception. In addition to her artistic practice, Strand also teaches photography at HDK-Valand.

I am the one writing

Everything takes place around the table. The child is visible there from February 15, 1945. After that, she performs the following actions: sitting, lying, standing on and near it. At the end of 1947, the child leaves the table for good. In one last image, she sits on its edge. Someone is tying her shoes. She is then photographed in mountain landscapes, on meadows, in cities, and public places until 1963. I have looked at the negatives. No one else will get to do so. I am the one writing and deciding that everything takes place around the table.
