Aleksei Borisionok
Aliaksiej Barysionak is an independent curator and researcher living in Minsk and Stockholm. He graduated from the master’s program in Visual and Cultural Studies at the European Humanities University in Vilnius, Lithuania. Curated exhibitions in “Ў” gallery, the Literary Museum of Maxim Bahdanovič (Minsk, Belarus), the summer school for artistic research (Vilnius, Lithuania), participated in the Kyiv School (Kyiv, Ukraine). He is the co-founder of the KALEKTAR, an independent platform for the study of the Belarusian contemporary art.
Loulou Cherinet
Loulou Cherinet is an artist born in Gothenburg now works and lives in Stockholm and Addis Ababa. She has a BA Fine Art, Addis Ababa University School of Fine Art & Design and a MAFine Art Royal Institute of Art Stockholm. Today professor in Fine Art at Konstfack , Stockholm.
Cherinet works has been shown at biennals in São Paulo, Venedig, Bamako. Gothenburg and Sydney as well as Manifesta 8, Momentum 7 and other bigger exhibitions like Africa Remix (2006) och Divine Comedy (2014) and The New Human (2015) på Moderna Museet Malmö. Her solo exhibition Who Learns My Lesson Complete was shown this summer at Moderna Museet Stockholm.
The event is part of a pilot project for collaboration between artists and art organizations in Belarus and Sweden, organized by Konstepidemin and financed by Svenska Institutet. For more information about the project, please contact Mona Wallström mona.wallstrom(at)konstepidemin.se
