Guest artist Fei Disbrow experiments with various media to create sculptures and collages rooted in bodily experience. Her work emphasizes texture, form, and restrained composition. Through a combination of intuition and precision, she challenges conventional notions of material significance and purpose.

During her open studio, she presents a new series of works inspired by cryptogams (mosses, lichens, and algae). Using photography as a drawing tool, she captures intricate forms and textures, allowing the subject itself to shape the image. The photographs are printed directly onto metal, sometimes folded, and shown alongside models and studies she is developing during her residency.
