Marit Kapla is a journalist and author based in Gothenburg. In her debut book, Osebol (Teg Publishing, 2019), she interviews 42 people who live in the village in northern Värmland where she grew up, presenting their stories in poetic form. For the book, Kapla received several awards, including the August Prize and Borås Tidning’s Debutant Prize.

Kapla has also written Kärlek på svenska (Teg Publishing, 2022) and, together with Staffan Julén, edited the anthology Jakten på det autentiska (Teg Publishing, 2023). In the fall of 2024, her first play, E45 – A Walking Drama, will be performed at Hagateatern in Gothenburg and Strindberg’s Intima Teater in Stockholm.
