Michal navigates the confluence of art, technology, and the marine world, seeking to weave experiences that draw audiences closer to the beauty and complexity of the ocean. Through his immersive media work, he invites viewers into a contemplative engagement with marine realities, fostering a space for empathy and a deeper understanding of our blue planet. His projects aim to serve as bridges for collective reflection, encouraging a communal approach to marine conservation and the sustainable stewardship of our oceans.
In his journey, Michal has established himself as a producer and director of immersive media (XR). He founded the first immersive media production studio in Prague and has delivered over 70 XR projects to date. Michal has co-founded Cyan Planet and created Seanergy, a digital underwater art gallery, to use virtual and extended realities as a tool for bridging the gap between humanity and marine life, advocating for the ocean’s protection.
At present, Michal is exploring technologically mediated transformative experiences at the University of the Arts in Stockholm. He is also deepening his knowledge about our relationship with the ocean by pursuing a Master’s program in Sea and Society at Gothenburg University. Michal aims to establish a creative community and collaborate with artists and scientists to enhance oceanic narratives and inspire action toward peaceful coexistence with the marine world.
