Alice Plazzo

Alice Plazzo’s research explores the themes of transition and memory, approached as an anthropological reflection. Investigating the solemnity of melancholy, her work focuses on the concepts of loss, the void, and intimacy.

Her iconographic study explores the sense of the unknown, universal grief, and the impact of absence, analyzing the tension between collective mourning and communal warmth.
Her subcultural inquiry evolves into an open investigation of contemporary shifts and their resonance within culture and personal experience, as a true sanctuary of shared identity.
This functions as a tool that confronts the fragility of existence on one hand, and systemic and institutional individualism on the other, using translation and visual deconstruction to carve out an unyielding monument to the absolute, non-negotiable necessity of human connection.
