Christian de Vietri

Christian de Vietri is an Australian-born artist known for his natively digital sculptures and large-scale installations in public spaces worldwide. He graduated from the Columbia University MFA program in 2009. In addition to his contemporary art education, Christian undertook formal training in traditional Indian art and architecture at the American University of Mayonic Science and Technology.

Exhibitions of his work have been held at Deitch Projects New York, the Wallach Gallery New York, the National Gallery of Bulgaria Sofia, the Art Gallery of New South Wales Sydney, the Gallery of Modern Art Brisbane, the Museum of Contemporary Art Sydney, the National Gallery of Australia Canberra, and the Institute of Contemporary Art Perth. His artworks have been acquired by several public collections such as the Emily Fisher Landau Collection, the Aïshti Art Foundation, the Kerry Stokes Collection, the John Curtin Gallery Collection, the Curtin University Collection, the ArtBank Collection, the Art&Australia Collection. Awards include Socrates Sculpture Park Emerging Artist Fellowship, Qantas Spirit of Youth Fine Art Award, Hugh Child Memorial Award for Sculpture, and Citizen of the Year for his contribution to visual art in Australia.
