Dragan Vojvodić

I focus my research on performance, art action, installation, photography, video, space intervention, often combining them and creating a multimedia dialogue. My dedication to the art becomes a way of finding a balance. I believe that art is a form of communication, the transmission of messages. Exile and nomadism influence my artistic process. That is the reason why most of my works deal with exile, social, environmental also personal and art related issues and that is the reason why most of my works were produced during my artist in residency projects abroad (from USA, Japan to Iceland, Norway and Finland).

Multimedia artist Dragan Vojvodić graduated from the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, Serbia. In his artistic practice, he uses various media – performance, art action, installation, photography, video, space intervention, in situ, object, etc.
For some years now, the Novi Sad artist Dragan Vojvodić was granted by numerous research grants (EU Japan Fest, Tokyo, ECoC Novi Sad 2021, Kizuna grant, University of Illinois, Chicago), and residency projects: SIM House, Reykjavik (Iceland), USF Bergen (Norway), University of Illinois, Chicago (USA), Cite des Arts, Paris (France), Sumu residency, Titanik gallery, Turku (Finland), Kamov residency, Museum of contemporary art Rijeka (Croatia), Koli residencu, Joensu (Finland), Konstepidemin, Goteborg (Sweeden), NCCA St.Petersburg (Russia) etc.
