Laurie Rosenwald

Painter, author, principal of rosenworld, a design studio.

She’s done literally thousands of drawings for The New Yorker,

New York Times, and other publications.

2019 EXHIBITION AT CHASHAMA NYC

2016 “I don’t know what it is, but I want to eat it!”

Exhibition curated by John Cheim.

2009 Exhibition, Galerie Pixi, Paris

Inspired by artists like Stuart Davis, Patrick Caulfield and Robyn Denny,

her work takes typography and design to a painterly level.

Working in the ancient medium of encaustic, she enjoys the impossible contrast between an organic

medium and plane geometry.  “It’s like trying to build a city out of Vaseline,” she says.

Born NYC 1955
