”My works are mostly none figurative paintings on canvas and paper. They deal with the process of painting, exploring form, color and space in painting. They refer to geometry, abstract expressionism, color field panting and lyrical abstraction. Some have references to natural science and others to computer games and science fiction. I often exhibit my works as installation.
Many of the paintings are build up with numerous layers of colors while other are made of delicate brush strokes drawn directly as narrow lines on raw canvas. These paintings are quite large in scale and those two methods create some kind of opposite worlds and tension in between them, when put next to each other.
The works on paper are smaller in size and painted with few colors, sometimes only one color and the images become more organic or sculptural. Often painted or drawn with thick brush strokes in one color.”
