On the closing day of the exhibition Rubble is a Seed so Red by Garden Loops we are joined by Yannick Woudstra, who will guide us around Konstepidemin for a ruderal walk.
Ruderal species are the unruly ensemble of plants and animals that emerge in disturbed landscapes. Yannick will let us in on the fascinating and creative ways ruderal plants adapt and inhabit our shared urban landscape. We will start by the exhibition in Bergrummet and make our way around the area. No registration required.
Yannick Woudstra is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Ecology, Environment and Plant sciences at Stockholm University. In his work on urban ecology, he studies the biological adaptations acquired by dandelions to cope with urbanisation. Yannick is involved with Garden Loops ongoing artistic research project ”The Ruderal Garden”, situated at Färgfabriken konsthall in Stockholm.
