Welcome to Jelizaveta Suska’s pop-up shop, where her studio is temporarily transformed into a space for exhibiting and selling original artworks and unique pieces. The room is shaped as a compact presentation featuring multiple artistic expressions.

Visitors are invited to engage with the jewellery art, take part in conversations, and—if interested—purchase works.

About Jelizaveta Suska

Jelizaveta Suska is a jewellery artist with a studio at Konstepidemin. At first glance, her new works appear frozen, as if made of ice—but this is merely an illusion. She describes her works as dealing with feelings of nostalgia, a moment in time.

She searched for a way to materialise these abstract phenomena and associations. After a period of research, she developed her own material, consisting of two main components: polymer, which is light and transparent, much like “a moment,” and crushed marble, which creates the illusion of solid stone. At the beginning of the process, the material is hot and dynamic, and over time it solidifies—serving as a metaphor for a moment that turns into a memory.

Jelizaveta, also known as Liza Suska, was born in Latvia in 1989. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in metal design from the Art Academy of Latvia in Riga. At the age of 24, she moved to Gothenburg to continue her studies. In 2015, she graduated from the School of Design and Crafts (HDK) at the University of Gothenburg. She has also studied in Germany and Japan.

In 2016, she received the Amberif Design Award and the Dr. Herbert Hofmann Prize at Schmuck. Liza has exhibited in Sweden and internationally. Her works are represented in the collections of the Nationalmuseum, Stockholm; RIAN Design Museum; the galleries Platina and Four; Beyond (Belgium); Alice Floriano (Brazil); as well as in private collections.

Craft Days

The Craft Days Biennial aims to highlight, strengthen, and increase the visibility of the contemporary craft field in the Västra Götaland region. The event premiered in 2021 and is organised by Konsthantverkscentrum in collaboration with Konstepidemin, the Swedish School of Textiles, Form & Folk, Not Quite, and the Röhsska Museum.

Craft Days 2026 will take place on 6–10 May, with support from the City of Gothenburg, the Västra Götaland Region, the Stena Foundation, and the Wilhelm & Martina Lundgren Foundation.
