Dragan Vojvodić

Artist statement

Multimedia artist Dragan Vojvodić began his artistic studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo and later graduated in Novi Sad. He expresses himself through a variety of mediums including performances, art actions, installations, in situ work, video, photography, sculpture, and painting. Recently, Vojvodić has been actively exploring the realm of sound, a focus that is evident in his latest works and will also be showcased at Konstepidemin. In his most recent performance, titled ’The History of Hardcore’ and held at Art Lazareti Dubrovnik, Vojvodić curated a multi-hour listening session featuring music records from various genres along with highly ideological and nationally colored audio recordings. Using LP records, Vojvodić assumed the role of a DJ, creating a cacophony in a Dadaist manner, as a personal stance against propaganda and manipulation.’
