With the Thematic residencies, Konstepidemin uses urgent contemporary issues as a point of departure
and focuses on how artists and cultural practitioners deal with these issues from their different perspectives and practices. With these residency periods, a new continuous and recurring residency program is created. The International group at Konstepidemin first identifies  an important theme and then invites an internationally active artist with an interest in this specific theme to come to Konstepidemin and work on site, collaborate with local artists and jointly present a public presentation that investigates and provides new artistic perspectives on the chosen theme. During each residency, we produce a number of public presentations and meetings: Exhibitions, talks, workshops, etc.
