The sculptor Jennifer Forsberg works with clay, but more as an end than a means. Clay becomes a carrier of meaning in the portrayal of nature’s power and the unpredictability of existence.

Her artistic process is characterized by alternating periods of introvert studio practice with focus on in-depth artistic development and material experimentation and a more outward-oriented, dialogue-based practice dedicated to public commissions. For those, Forsberg uses conversations and workshops in order to engage others in the process – i e the artwork’s future neighbours of all ages and walks of life.
