Roses of Ties is a collective workshop that brings together craft, fika, and conversation. In shared hands, discarded ties are transformed into roses worn close to the heart.

Ties carry traces of both masculine authority and love for those we miss – like the Ukrainian women who inspired Ludmila Christeseva to create Roses of Ties together with other women. As the ties are reshaped into roses, they open up conversations about care, pleasure, and female power. Feel free to bring a tie from your family – we would love to hear your story. During the workshop, we explore creativity and well-being.

Craft Days

The Craft Days Biennial aims to highlight, strengthen, and increase the visibility of the contemporary craft field in the Västra Götaland region. The event premiered in 2021 and is organised by Konsthantverkscentrum in collaboration with Konstepidemin, the Swedish School of Textiles, Form & Folk, Not Quite, and the Röhsska Museum. Craft Days 2026 at Konstepidemin will take place on 8–10 May, with support from Västra Götalandsregionen, IASPIS, Statens Kulturråd, Form & Folk and ABF Göteborg.
