AFASI, by Hanna Monola, is the culmination of two years of research within the Master’s program in Contemporary Performative Arts, presenting both a developmental process and a formal artistic inquiry.

The work comprises two components: a sound installation and a performance. Together, these elements examine the relationship between humanity and the natural world through the lens of fragmented communication. Drawing inspiration from the portrayal of women in folklore and mythology, the project further investigates whether the historical association between female sexuality and nature—characterized as wild, untamed, and irrational—can be reclaimed.
