For the Day of Cuban Culture and the end of Angel Ramírez’s stay as IASPIS artist-in-residence at Konstepidemin, Angel Ramírez and Diana Sánchez welcome you to their studio. IASPIS grant holder Angel Ramírez is one of Cuba’s most respected contemporary artists, widely exhibited internationally.
His work is formally diverse and declined in a multitude of media and materials which, by communicating between each other visually and emotionally, attain unity. Ramírez often employs woodcut to produce unique works where he appropriates the typically-looking woodcut image and its multiplicity, or uses the blocks in the work itself.
The inhabitants of Konstepidemin’s Studio 3 welcome you to experience Cuban culture through memories, taste and art.
